Gort Metals, a leading provider of engineered steel shade structures and covered parking solutions throughout the Southwest, has been awarded a contract by Aloha Construction Group to design, engineer, fabricate, and install a large-scale RV storage canopy system at the Florence Storage Facility in Florence, Arizona.
The project will consist of the construction of 328 covered RV parking spaces utilizing Gort Metals’ engineered I-beam offset full-cantilever carport system, providing durable, long-lasting protection for recreational vehicles while maximizing accessibility and space efficiency. Work on the project is scheduled to begin immediately.
The scope of the contract includes engineering, permit acquisition, material procurement, freight, excavation, caisson footing installation, structural steel erection, and required special inspections for footings and field welding. The completed structures will feature pre-finished 29-gauge baked enamel roofing and corrosion-resistant steel framing designed to withstand Arizona’s demanding climate conditions.
